Returns & Right of Withdrawal
At Mara Bliss Candles, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This page explains your rights when shopping with us, in line with Swedish consumer law (Distansavtalslagen and Konsumentköplagen) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
Your 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (Ångerrätt)
As a consumer buying from our online store, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
How to exercise your right of withdrawal:
- Send us a clear statement of your decision to withdraw, within 14 days of receiving your order, by emailing info@marablisscandles.com with your order number.
- Return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.
- We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or of you providing proof of return, whichever is earlier).
Condition of Returned Goods
To receive a full refund, returned candles must be:
- Unused and unburnt
- In their original, undamaged packaging
- Complete with any tags, labels, or inserts
You are entitled to unpack and inspect the candle as you would in a physical shop. However, if the candle has been lit, used, or handled beyond what is necessary to assess its nature and characteristics, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
Refunds
We will refund the full purchase price, including the original standard shipping cost, using the same payment method you used for the order. If you chose a more expensive shipping option than our standard delivery, we will only refund the cost of our cheapest standard option.
Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving your return.
Return Shipping Costs
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping when exercising your right of withdrawal. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
Faulty, Damaged, or Defective Products
Your rights for faulty goods are separate from your right of withdrawal and are protected under the Swedish Consumer Purchases Act (Konsumentköplagen).
If your candle arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, you have up to 3 years to report the issue (reklamation), although we ask that you contact us as soon as reasonably possible — ideally within 2 months of discovering the fault.
Email us at info@marablisscandles.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photos clearly showing the problem
We will arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund (including return shipping costs) at no cost to you, as required by law.
Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
Under EU law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to certain goods, including personalised or custom-made items made to your specifications. If you order a bespoke candle, we will make this clear at checkout.
Late or Missing Refunds
If your refund has been approved but you haven't received it, please first check with your bank or payment provider — processing can take several business days. If the issue persists, contact us at info@marablisscandles.com and we'll help resolve it.
Dispute Resolution
If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, as a Swedish consumer you can:
- File a complaint with Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden (ARN) — www.arn.se
- Use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
